NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has unveiled a 59-member Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the group intensifies its organisational preparations across the country.
The council was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the movement’s National Secretary, Saadatu Sani. It comprises zonal and state coordinators, alongside directors responsible for mobilisation, women affairs, strategy and planning, security, legal affairs, information technology, administration and other areas.

Under the new structure, the Director-General of the movement, John Ughulu, will serve as Director-General of the Campaign Council, while Sani is also listed among the campaign leadership.
The council has representatives across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory, with coordinators appointed for the 36 states.
The six zonal coordinators are Suleiman Abubakar for North Central, Hashimu Dungurawa for North West, Amadu Gwambe for North East, Dr Adebayo Adefolaseye for South West, Christopher Ighodaro for South South and El-Shaddai Ikeh for South East.
Ibrahim Jabir was named FCT Coordinator, while Maiyaki Samson, Tokji Mandim, Yusuf Abdullahi, Aliyu Tershaku, Awal Goma and Kazeem Olawuyi were appointed coordinators for Kogi, Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue, Niger and Kwara respectively.
Other members of the campaign structure include Rev. Mike Agbon as Director of Inter-Ethnic Group in Northern Nigeria; Sabo Gashua as Director of Grassroots Mobilisation; Glory Adayi as Director of Women Affairs; Kabir Yahaya as Director of Contact and Engagement; and Abdumumini Tijjani as Director of Mobilisation.
Yusuf Mani was named Director of Special Duties, Peace Daful Director of Procurement, Prof. Charles Nwekeaku Director of South-Eastern Town Hall, and Sunmisola Adebayo Director of Information Technology.
Kingdom Okere will oversee Legal Affairs, Abiodun Dabiri will head Strategy and Planning, while Richard Enemona, a retired Chief Superintendent of Police, was named Director of Security and Intelligence. Aisha Abdulrahaman was appointed Director of Administration.
In her message to members of the council, Sani described their appointments as a call to duty and urged them to take the movement’s message and programme to Nigerians across states, local government areas, wards and communities.
She said the assignment would require discipline, strategic thinking, grassroots mobilisation, effective communication and teamwork.
The unveiling comes as political activities and preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the movement positioning its structure across the country in support of the proposed Peter Obi-Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential ticket.
