Peter Obi has stated that the 2027 election is between Nigerians and Tinubu’s Government.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has said the 2027 general election will be a contest between the Nigerian people and the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Obi made the remarks in a viral online video, where he also reiterated his claim that he won the 2023 presidential election, alleging that the outcome was manipulated.

The former Anambra State governor said the country’s challenges stem from a leadership deficit, insisting that Nigerians are ready for change.
“You know that I won that election and it was rigged, but that is not the problem,” Obi said.
According to him, the next presidential election will be determined by Nigerians who, he believes, have become dissatisfied with the current state of the nation.
“The next election is between Nigerians and the government in office because the public has had enough and they are determined that things have to change,” he stated.
Obi argued that despite the sacrifices made by citizens over the years, the country’s situation has not improved because of poor leadership.
“We have sacrificed everything and it’s not working. It’s time to understand that one thing is missing, which is leadership,” he said.
The former governor expressed confidence that Nigerians would make the right decision in 2027.
“Nigerians will decide. They will be the ones to say what is happening, and I believe they have learnt their lessons and they will find a way,” he added.
Obi also stressed that his political ambition is driven by a desire to see Nigeria succeed rather than a personal quest for power.
“For me, the desperation is to see Nigeria work. I’m not desperate to be president, but I want to create a society where the children of Nigerians will have hope and where a child of a nobody can become somebody. We have had enough,” he said.
