Ahead of the fixed Abuja rally for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, the party chapter in the Federal Capital Territory has disclosed that the rally will shut down the central city of Abuja come September.

Newsonline reports that the party said those who still think the former Anambra State governor’s presidential ambition is an online ambition were already shocked by the different rallies organized by the youths in support of Peter Obi across the states of Nassarawa, Cross Rivers and the incoming Kaduna State.

The Labour Party Chairman, Abuja Chapter, Diugwu Chukwuemeka Peter, stated that the Abuja rally would come up on the 24 of September to give room for all other states to finish theirs.

Chukwuemeka added that as the mother state of all other 36 states of the country, the Abuja rally would be the grand finale.

He said, “We have fixed September 24 for the march in FCT. Our own in Abuja is going to be the grand finale. We will do it when other States have concluded their own. This is because FCT is the mother of all States”.

Chukwuemeka added, “Everyone is going to see that we are not joking. We will shut Abuja down. This is no longer a social media thing”, he added.

Recall that a one million match was organized by youths for Peter Obi in Nassarawa and cross river states with large turnouts against the popular criticisms of the opposition parties that the Labour candidate structure was social media based.

Newsonline had reported that all polls conducted on social media by national dailies including Newsonline showed Peter Obi winning with a high percentage.
