Access Bank

A woman has narrated how Access Bank abused her and lied about her late brother’s N500M account balance.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a Nigerian woman who accused Access Bank Plc of holding on to her late brother’s N500 Million has given an update about what she went through when she visited the bank to claim other funds.

Aside from the N500 Million, the woman made it known that she had gone to the bank earlier to receive N2.9 million her late brother informed her he had with the bank.

During an interview session with VeryDarkMan, she narrated that her experience at the Access Bank branch in Kaduna wasn’t palatable as it led to a form of assault, abuse, and insult against her personality.

She made it known that she had gone to other banks including Keystone and GTBank to claim the funds and all they requested of her was to open an estate account where the money was paid instantly but for Access Bank, it was dramatic.

She stated that when she approached the bank with her lawyer who was with a court order, the bank denied that her brother had no account with them.

“It was seamless in other banks, I was asked to open an estate account in Keystone, and they opened it and sent the money. When we went to access the bank, my lawyer went with me with a court order and they said my brother had no account with them. They denied the account and I told them my brother has 2.9 million with them and that they should do something about the money.”

“All of them started playing me and I and my lawyer were standing, the person we met stood up and left. We left the bank and returned. We saw the secretary and she said we were disturbing the bank and that my brother had no money with them. I narrated that my brother told me about the money and then suddenly, the manager stood up and started shouting at us and immediately, one of my daughters started to record. She was struggling with me and ran into her office, banged the door, and locked it.”

She explained that when they saw she wasn’t backing down, one of the staffers of the bank came out and started begging her and said the money would be given to her. She narrated that they were asked to enter a space where they brought in N2.9 Million cash for them after initially claiming the brother had no account or money with them.

When the bank saw that we were recording, one Chibuzor came out and came closer to beg me, he said they would give us the money suddenly after saying there was no money in the account. I kept quiet and the Chibuzor asked us to move to one parlour, we sat down and as I was there, they asked me to open an estate account which I didn’t agree to till I saw the money. Where we were seated, they brought N2.9 million to us and I told them that upon all the stress, with the manager’s behaviour, I was asking them how come the money came into the account that they claim didn’t exist.”
