The capital city of Plateau State, Jos, on Wednesday, got shut down following the visit to the city by Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and vice-presidential candidate, Datti Ahmed.
Newsonline reports that the visit of Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Ahmed was on the invitation of the Middle Belt Forum, the apex socio-cultural and socio-political organization for ethnic groups in North Central Nigeria.
The event tagged ‘Rally For Peter Obi’ was organized by the Middle belt Forum for the official endorsement of the former governor of Anambra State and his vice-presidential candidate.
Addressing the crowd, Peter Obi said, “As a President elected by all Nigerians, Plateau state will not only host several potato chips processing companies, which will create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths, but other parts of the North will be dotted with several agro-processing industries.”
