Senate has confirmed President Bola Tinubu appointed Service Chiefs.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Senate has confirmed the nomination of service chiefs and heads of security agencies newly appointed by President Bola Tinubu.

The confirmation followed the screening of the service chiefs by the red chamber on Thursday.

This Nigeria News platform recalls that President had last month appointed new service chiefs while their predecessors went on compulsory retirement.

Subsequently, President Tinubu on Monday, wrote to the Senate requesting the confirmation of the service chiefs.

The Senate President Godswill Akpabio said that during the closed-door session, the service chiefs answered questions on topical issues relating to defence and national security.

The new service chiefs confirmed are Major General T. A Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff; Major General C.G. Musa, Chief of Defence Staff;  Air Vice Marshal H.B. Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff; Rear Admiral E. A. Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff; Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector-General of Police; and Major General  E.P.A. Undiandeye, Chief of Defense Intelligence.
