Segun Odunmbaku has clinched landslide victory and re-elected as Chairman of Ojodu LCDA.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has secured a sweeping re-election victory, earning a second term in office after emerging victorious in Saturday’s 2025 local government elections.

Running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Odunmbaku and his running mate, Alhaja Kafayat Layeni, together known as the DOS-KFL team won convincingly across all six wards in Ojodu LCDA, delivering a crushing defeat to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Official Results:

  • Ward A: APC – 4,656 | PDP – 153

  • Ward B: APC – 4,529 | PDP – 127

  • Ward C: APC – 4,668 | PDP – 76

  • Ward D: APC – 3,355 | PDP – 62

  • Ward E: APC – 2,059 | PDP – 75

  • Ward F: APC – 4,660 | PDP – 167

Total Votes:
APC – 23,927 | PDP – 660

In addition to the chairmanship victory, APC also clinched all six councillorship seats within the LCDA, reaffirming its grassroots dominance and popular support across Ojodu.

Reacting to the outcome, Hon. Odunmbaku expressed deep gratitude to the residents of Ojodu LCDA for their trust and renewed mandate.

“This victory is for the people. I am humbled by your overwhelming support,” he said. “I also extend my sincere appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, our party leaders, and especially Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, and Hon. James Abiodun Faleke for their steadfast mentorship and guidance throughout this journey.”

He pledged that his second term, guided by the #HEYSRELOADED agenda, will focus on deepening development, community empowerment, and inclusive governance.

As celebrations ripple through the LCDA, residents anticipate a new era of growth and transformation under Odunmbaku’s renewed leadership.
