He added that he ran away out of fear and has been suicidal since then.

Spokesman of the Lagos Police Command Benjamin Hundeyin told BBC Pidgin that Ms Osedion’s mother Onwabhagbe Cordelia of Military Cantonment, Maryland area of Lagos reported to the police on July 15 that her child had a quarrel with her boyfriend on July 11.

Hundeyin said Onwabhagbe told the police she tried to settle the differences between the lovers.

He confirmed that Osedion’s body was found at Killaboi’s house at Oral Estate in the Ikota area of Lagos.

Osedion’s Mercedes Benz C30 was also recovered at the scene, the spokesman was quoted to have said that marks of violence and signs of struggle were also seen on her body.
