A United Kingdom medical doctor was reportedly docked for allegedly aiding and abetting Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife to bring David into the country for a kidney transplant.

Newsonline reports that the London-based medical doctor identified as Obinna Obeta allegedly facilitated and assisted the Ekweremadu to bring David to the UK.

Recall that Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Nwanneka, were arrested for an alleged case of organ harvesting and human trafficking by the London Metropolitan Police on June 21.

David who was reported to be the victim of the organ harvesting case had earlier claimed to be 15 years old, on 5 May 2022, presented himself at Staines Police Station alleging that he was transported to the UK by Ekweremadus for his kidney to be removed.

The 50-year-old medical doctor, Obinna Obeta, of Hillbeck Close, Southwark, southeast London had according to reports, appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on 13 July.

Obeta was alleged in court to have conspired with the former Deputy Senate President to arrange or facilitate the travel of David with a view to exploiting him through organ harvesting.

David who earlier claimed to be a minor had also confessed to the UK court that he is 21-year-old. Ekweremad and his wife, Nwanneka are still in custody.
