1. The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, yesterday, called on Nigerians to elect leaders that would make a difference in their lives. Tinubu made the remark while calling for prayers for peaceful, free, and fair elections in 2023.
2. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it has no plan to disrupt the election in Igboland in 2023. The media and publicity secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, in a statement yesterday, said there is no truth in any information circulating on alleged plans to disrupt the polls in the southeast in 2023.
3. The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, has asked the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, and other appointees to campaign openly for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu or resign their appointments.
4. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has no valid candidate for the 2023 presidential election, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Katsina State Police Command says it killed 27 bandits, rescued 393 kidnapped victims and sent for prosecution 1,116 suspected criminals out of the 1,503 arrested in the last eight months in the state. The State Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dabban Dauda made the disclosure at a commissioning ceremony yesterday.
