Nenadi Usman is set to take over Labour Party National Secretariat in Abuja.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Interim National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, is set to officially assume control of the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Usman’s emergence marks a historic milestone, as she becomes the first female National Chairman of a major political party in Nigeria.

The Labour Party secretariat, located in the Utako District of Abuja, was previously occupied by the Julius Abure-led faction until the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) formally recognised Usman and her leadership team.

At the time of filing this report, preparations were ongoing at the secretariat, with a banner displaying the photographs of Senator Usman and the Acting National Secretary, Senator Darlington Nwochocha, being mounted around the premises ahead of an event to formally signal the commencement of a new leadership era in the party.
