National Chairman has vowed not to support Tinubu in 2027 if he drops Shettima as his running mate.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir, the National Chairman of the Ulam’u Council of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), has publicly declared that he will not support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections if Tinubu removes Vice President Kashim Shettima from the ticket.

Speaking during a religious gathering at the Yantaya Mosque in Jos, Plateau State, Sheik Jingir expressed concern over alleged efforts by some individuals within and outside the APC to cause a rift between Tinubu and Shettima.

He warned that such actions are detrimental and not in the country’s best interest.

The cleric recalled that he endorsed the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in the 2023 elections without collecting money, despite being friends with Atiku Abubakar.

He added that their unity was key to his support and should not be compromised.

Sheik Jingir urged President Tinubu to ignore those advising him to drop Shettima, saying such people are “enemies of progress” and only seeking to destabilise the leadership.
