1. At least 28 people have been killed in some communities in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State, bordering Ebonyi State. It was gathered that a communal crisis first broke out in Ebonyi, then spiraled into the adjourning rural villages of Ado in Benue communities.

2. Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, has said he and four other governors dubbed as G5 are the bedrock of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The governor, however, said he and his camp are willing to reconcile with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Wike stated this in Bauchi on Wednesday.

3. The Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC Ltd), Mr Mele Kyari, has said that he is receiving death threats as a result of the ongoing reformation in the NNPC. Kyari made this known on Wednesday in Abuja at the Legislative Transparency and Accountability summit organised by the House of Representatives Committee on Anti-Corruption.

4. The House of Representatives has queried the National Population Commission (NPC) over N1.9 billion expended on stakeholders summits across the country ahead of the 2023 population and housing census. Its Committee on Population issued the query when the chairman of NPC, Nasir Isa Kwarra, appeared before it to defend the agency’s 2023 budget proposal.

5. Spokesperson of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has dismissed allegations that the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was indicted in the trending US case. Keyamo made this assertion during an interview with Channels TV’s Politics Today, on Wednesday.

6. Eight Nigerian-American politicians have emerged winners in their respective elective posts in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and the District of Columbia (DC) in the ongoing US midterm elections. They are Segun Adeyina, Gabe Okoye, Solomon Adesanya, Tish Naghise, Phil Olaleye, Carol Kazeem, Oye Owolewa and Esther Agbaje who won legislative seats as State Representatives in their respective Districts on Tuesday.

7. Men of the Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday battled suspected kidnappers during an attack on commuters travelling on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. It was gathered that the gunmen, who were dressed in military camouflage, attempted to abduct passengers in an 18-seater bus.

8. A 64-year-old man, Ojo Joseph, who set ablaze his five stepchildren in Ondo town, Ondo State, was on Wednesday paraded at the State police command headquarters, Akure. The suspect reportedly committed the act while the victims were asleep following a disagreement between him and their mother at the Fagun area of Ondo town, Ondo State, last Saturday.

9. The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has said that he is highly connected to the aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party governors. Mohammed, who said this on Wednesday when the aggrieved governors paid him a solidarity visit in Bauchi, said he shared his fears and worries with the governors during the visit.

10. The fate of Meta’s African team hangs in the balance as the firm announced the layoff of 11,000 workers on Wednesday. This represents 13 per cent of its 87,000 global employee base and is coming after Twitter laid off 3,700 workers on Friday. Twitter’s layoff affected most of its African team that had just physically resumed at the firm’s Africa office situated in Ghana.
