MultiChoice has refreshed DStv, GOtv Packages and added new movie and sports channels in Nigeria.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that DStv and GOtv subscribers in Nigeria are set to receive refreshed package offerings as MultiChoice Nigeria moves to provide customers with more choice, value and flexibility across its entertainment platforms.

The changes will introduce new ways for customers to tailor their viewing experience, with refreshed packages across DStv and GOtv designed around viewing preferences and the type of entertainment subscribers want to access.

MultiChoice said more details about the refreshed DStv and GOtv packages would be announced in the coming weeks.

The company described the changes as the next evolution of its entertainment offering, with a new suite of products and channels aimed at creating a simpler and more personalised viewing experience.

As part of the changes, DStv and GOtv subscribers began accessing three refreshed M-Net Movies channels from Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The channels are M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends, replacing the previous four-channel movie structure.

According to MultiChoice, the revamped movie offering is designed to make it easier for viewers to discover and enjoy movies while reducing repetition and increasing access to fresh titles.

The three channels will feature a combination of international and local productions, including blockbuster films, established favourites and curated movie experiences across different genres.

MultiChoice said the restructuring was developed in response to what movie viewers want, particularly greater access to new titles and fewer repeated movies.

The entertainment expansion also includes the introduction of SuperSport Kick-Off, a new channel on the DStv lineup focused on football content.

The channel will offer viewers a selection of football programming, bringing together some of the sport’s major moments and content from across the SuperSport portfolio.

Another addition to the DStv lineup is France 24, the international news channel providing coverage of global affairs, current events and developments across Africa.

The channel offers international reporting, analysis and dedicated African news coverage, giving DStv viewers another source of international news programming.

The addition of France 24 comes alongside the introduction of SuperSport Kick-Off and the restructuring of the M-Net Movies offering.

The channel changes form part of a broader refresh of the DStv and GOtv propositions in Nigeria.

MultiChoice said the upcoming package changes would give customers greater control over their viewing choices while providing more value across both platforms.

The company has yet to disclose the full details of the refreshed packages, including the specific package structures and other changes subscribers should expect.

More information is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

The latest changes represent another adjustment to MultiChoice’s Nigerian entertainment strategy as the company responds to changing viewing habits and customer expectations in an increasingly competitive television and streaming market.
