1. LAUTECH Vice-Chancellor Sacked

Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde on Friday ordered the Vice-Chancellor, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Professor Michael Ologunde, to step aside till further notice.

The governor handed down the order through a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye.

In the statement, dated April 16, Prof Ologunde was subsequently directed to hand over to the next principal officer in rank to continue normal activities in the university.
