Governor David Umahi has revealed that He’s Obidient to APC and its Presidential Candidate Bola Tinubu.

Newsonline reports that Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has said he has no apologies to Ndigbo for affirming to be Obidient to the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.

This online news platform understands that the Presidential candidate of APC, Tinubu is running a Muslim-Muslim ticket with Kashim Shettima, wherein the Christian communities in the country are kicking against it.

Newsonline Nigeria recalls that Umahi defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, on the ground of incessant marginalization of the South-East geopolitical zone by the PDP, especially on denying Ndigbo the chance of producing the President of the country from Igbo extraction.

Umahi, who said he has no apologies for declaring support for Tinubu-Shettima, made this known during in a town hall meeting involving all traditional rulers, political leaders and elders council of the State with the presidential candidate of APC, Tinubu, at the new government house, centenary City Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State.

The governor stressed that he has no regret for declaring support for Tinubu-Shettima Presidential ambition and for defecting to the APC.

According to him: “Everywhere you go in Ebonyi State is APC. We are only Obidient to you Bola Tinubu. We have no apologies. I’m speaking any how because I’m standing on our performances that we have achieved in Ebonyi State.

“Anyone who wants to challenge us, should tell us whether we have not fared better under the APC government. I’m the first son of President Muhammadu Buhari. I hope you (Tinubu) will take me also as your son? I know it’s done.”

Responding, Tinubu assured of his preparedness to keep to his words and fulfill all his campaign promises to Nigerians if elected president of the country, come 2023 general election.

He said: “I’m a promise keeper. I keep my words. We are here celebrating the good works done by a professional Engineer, David Umahi. Many of you are traveling very far and wide building a friendship across the Niger, not minding tribes.”

Earlier in a remark, the chairman of Ebonyi State Traditional Rulers’ Council, HRH, Eze Charles Mkpuma, who spoke on behalf of all the monarchs, tasked Tinubu to give the South-east region the chance to produce the next Senate President of the country if he wins as President of Nigeria.

The traditional rulers gave a chieftaincy title to the Presidential candidate of APC, Bola Tinubu as “Dike di Ora mma 1” of Ebonyi State.
