NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the body of late former President Muhammadu Buhari will arrive in Nigeria tomorrow (Tuesday), two days after his passing at a London hospital at the age of 82.

This was confirmed by the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, while addressing the media regarding the burial arrangements.

He said the body is expected to be in Nigeria by 12 noon, while the burial is planned for 2 pm.

Recall that the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, and Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, led a Federal Government delegation to the United Kingdom, where they are expected to receive the late President’s body.

The delegation, acting on the directive of President Bola Tinubu, departed Nigeria early Monday following the announcement of Buhari’s death at the London Clinic on Sunday after a prolonged illness.

Upon arrival in the UK, Shettima and Gbajabiamila were received by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, as well as Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum and other dignitaries.

The body, after being received by the presidential delegates, will be flown back to Nigeria, and the body is expected to be taken to Daura, Katsina State, for interment later on Tuesday in line with Muslim traditions.

President Tinubu is expected to join other prominent Nigerian leaders, including past heads of state, in Daura for the funeral.
