NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has set up a new system for paying local government officials directly from Abuja under the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).

This approach affects key officials in local government administration, with a total of eight to nine individuals receiving their salaries through the central payment system.
