EV Motors has partnered Chaos in the Ring and is set to reward celebrity boxing winners with two brand-new electric vehicles.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that EV Motors has announced a landmark partnership with Balmoral Group, committing two brand-new electric vehicles as prizes for the winners of the headline celebrity boxing bouts at the 2026 edition of Chaos in the Ring.

The partnership was unveiled during a press conference at the EV Motors headquarters in Lagos, where executives from both organisations showcased the vehicles and reaffirmed their shared commitment to investing in Nigerian talent while expanding opportunities within the country’s growing sports and entertainment industry.

As part of the partnership, the winners of the highly anticipated celebrity boxing matches between Portable and Charles Okocha and Mr Real and Idowest will each drive home a brand-new electric vehicle, adding a new level of excitement and prestige to what is expected to be the biggest edition of Chaos in the Ring yet.

Speaking at the unveiling, Chairman of EV Motors, Dr Ned Okonkwo, described the collaboration as the beginning of a long-term relationship between two Nigerian brands committed to creating opportunities at home.

“This partnership isn’t just for today. It’s the beginning of a long-term relationship between two Nigerian brands that believe in the Nigerian dream.”

Highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting local talent, Dr Okonkwo added:

“We don’t believe in Japa. We believe in transforming Japa into Japada by creating opportunities here at home. Nigeria has some of the greatest talents in the world, and boxing is one of the strongest examples of that.”

Dr Okonkwo said the initiative goes beyond rewarding winners with vehicles, stressing that it reflects EV Motors’ broader vision of empowering young Nigerians and supporting platforms that inspire excellence.

“This isn’t simply about giving away cars. It’s about changing lives, rewarding excellence and showing young Nigerians that they can achieve their dreams here. We will continue supporting platforms that celebrate Nigerian talent and create lasting impact.”

Founder of Chaos in the Ring and Group Managing Director of Balmoral Group, Dr Ezekiel Adamu, said the partnership aligns with the platform’s mission to transform African boxing by combining elite competition with world-class entertainment and global exposure.

“Talent is the greatest export Nigeria has. Africa has never lacked talent. What we’ve lacked is a platform.”

Since its launch, Chaos in the Ring has grown into one of Africa’s fastest-rising boxing entertainment brands, blending professional boxing, celebrity contests and live performances. Previous editions have generated more than 2 billion video views and 4.2 billion digital impressions, while securing global distribution on DAZN, one of the world’s leading sports streaming platforms.

Dr Adamu said the platform was created to improve the earning potential and international visibility of African fighters.

“When we started, many Nigerian boxers were earning less than ₦50,000 to step into the ring. Today, some of our fighters are earning life-changing purses, signing international contracts and competing on the global stage. That’s the impact of giving talent the right platform.”

He added that Chaos in the Ring is helping reposition Africa as a destination for world-class boxing events and international sporting opportunities.

“Our dream has always been to reverse the narrative, so that international athletes begin looking to Africa as a destination for opportunity. We’re already seeing that happen.”

The partnership with EV Motors represents another milestone in that journey, bringing together two organisations united by a shared commitment to Nigerian excellence, innovation and youth empowerment.

With anticipation building ahead of Friday, July 31, fans can expect an unforgettable evening of elite boxing, celebrity rivalries, music and live entertainment, with two brand-new electric vehicles awaiting the night’s biggest winners.
