NewsOnline Nigeria reports that American singer and model Chloe Bailey has revealed why she chooses to keep her relationship out of the public eye.

The “Have Mercy” crooner, who is reportedly dating Nigerian music star Burna Boy, said she prefers to keep her love life private to avoid misconceptions that she’s seeking attention or using it to boost her music career.

Chloe made the disclosure while responding to a fan’s question during a recent livestream session.

“I decided to keep my relationship private because people on the internet tend to use it against me and discredit my music career,” Chloe explained.

Chloe Bailey and Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy were romantically linked in late 2024 after her visit to Lagos, where the two were spotted on public outings and during a collaborative studio session.

Reports in 2025 confirmed that the pair dated earlier this year, though their current relationship status remains uncertain.
