Actor Charles Okocha secured a dramatic victory over controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, after the musician abandoned their highly anticipated celebrity boxing rematch in the opening round.
The bout, tagged “Chaos In The Ring,” took place on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The contest ended abruptly when Portable walked out of the ring and refused to continue, leading officials to declare Okocha the winner by default.
The rematch was arranged after the pair’s first celebrity boxing encounter in 2023, which Portable won. Dissatisfied with that result, Okocha invoked a rematch clause, setting the stage for another showdown nearly three years later.

The fight began with both celebrities exchanging punches at a fast pace before the contest took an unexpected turn. Portable exited the ring during the opening round and declined to resume the fight, prompting organisers to award victory to Okocha.
Videos of the dramatic ending have since gone viral across social media platforms, generating widespread reactions from fans and entertainment enthusiasts.
As of the time of filing this report, Portable has not publicly explained why he abandoned the fight. The victory, however, gives Charles Okocha redemption after his defeat in their first meeting in 2023.
