Wike’s Loyalist, Martin Chuke has emerged as Rivers Assembly Speaker.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a loyalist of former governor Nyesom Wike, Rt. Hon. Martin Chuke has become the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that Martin Chuke was recognized as the speaker at the New Year celebration organized by the Rivers State Government.

In the bulletin printed for the programme, his picture and position as speaker was spelled out.

 

 

This is coming few days after Rt. Hon. (Barr) Ehie, Ogerenye Edison- Ph.D, DSSRS resigned from the position.

 

These developments are coming after President Tinubu intervened in the political crisis that erupted Rivers state last month.
