Wike has vowed to resigned as FCT Minister if prven wrong in the NDDC Forensic Audit.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has called on the Federal Government to release the long-awaited forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), declaring he would resign from office if the findings contradict his claims.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Wike made damning allegations regarding the operations of the NDDC under the tenure of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi. He claimed that a company linked to Amaechi’s wife allegedly received N4 billion monthly to train women in the Niger Delta—totaling N48 billion annually.

According to Wike, the forensic audit report documenting these transactions was deliberately concealed by former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to shield those implicated. He appealed to President Bola Tinubu to make the report public, emphasizing that Nigerians deserve transparency and accountability.

“The truth must come out. If that report says I lied, I will resign as FCT Minister,” Wike declared.

He described the concealment of the audit as a symbol of political hypocrisy, stressing that the public has a right to know how funds meant for regional development were allegedly diverted under the guise of empowerment.

Wike insisted that the audit’s release would uncover widespread financial mismanagement and expose those who exploited the NDDC for personal gain.
