The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has challenged anyone to sue him in the US heroin case making round in the social and traditional media.
Newsonline reports that the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, described the news as the handwork of detractors.
The APC presidential campaign spokesman, Festus Keyamo, who threw the challenge said the detractors are annoyed that after spending millions of dollars to get the heroin case documents from the United States court they were disappointed.
Keyamo said, “the annoyance of detractors of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is that they thought they struck gold when they paid millions to get those papers from the US and now they are beginning to see that they are not worth more than tissue paper! Why not file an action in court to disqualify Tinubu?”

However, Paul Ibe, the special adviser, to the presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has slammed Keyamo for what he described as failed attempt to defend the criminal forfeiture of $400,000, Tinubu made to the US government as tax.
Paul Ibe said, “It is comical that after his failed attempts at redefining the word “forfeiture”, the ‘Senior Advocate of Narcotics’ has forfeited his own laughable position by acknowledging that Bola Tinubu did indeed forfeit money to the United States Government.”
Atiku’s spokesman added that the takeaways from the US court document showed that the APC presidential candidate was involved in drug activities which led to the forfeiture of $460,000 to the US government.
Ibe added: “The takeaways are: 1. Bola Tinubu had affinity with drug cartels. 2. Bola Tinubu was a suspect and was investigated. 3. Bola Tinubu had drug money traced to his accounts. 4. Bola Tinubu was indicted of drug trafficking and money laundering. 5. Bola Tinubu forfeited $460,000 in 1993.”
