PDP National Working Committee has affirmed  Udeh Okoye as the party’s authentic national secretary.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that after a series of back and forth, the National Working Committee, NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Wednesday confirmed Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the party.

The decision, according to a statement by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, followed a thorough examination of a memo presented to the party by the Acting National Chairman regarding legal judgments affirming Udeh Okoye’s position.

The statement added that the NWC considered several key documents during its meeting.

These included a declaratory judgment from the High Court of Enugu and a judgment from the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division, both declaring Udeh Okoye as the PDP’s National Secretary.

Additionally, they reviewed legal opinions from Dr Kabiru T. Turaki SAN and the PDP’s National Legal Adviser.

“After due consideration of the Memo and the attachments, the NWC overwhelmingly recognizes, acknowledges and confirms Rt. Hon. S.K.E Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the PDP in full compliance with and obedience to the Judgement of the Court of Appeal, recognizing that there is no subsisting or superseding Judgment or Order from any Court of superior authority or hierarchy”, the statement added.
