Pat Utomi has bombed DSS and APC over Parallel Government allegations.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that i a dramatic rebuttal to allegations from the Department of State Services (DSS), former presidential candidate Professor Pat Utomi has dismissed claims that he is attempting to illegally usurp President Bola Tinubu’s powers through the formation of a so-called shadow government.

This Nigeria news platform had earlier reported that the DSS filed a suit no FHC/ABJ/CS/937/2025 at the Federal High Court in Abuja, accusing Utomi of undermining Nigeria’s constitutional order and posing a threat to national security.

But in a fiery interview with ISMAEEL UTHMAN , Utomi responded with defiance: “I have not received anything from them. How would I respond to something I have not received? Why would I be threatened? If we die, we die.”

Calling the government’s accusations a “game of semantics,” Utomi blasted the APC for hypocrisy, reminding Nigerians that the ruling party once threatened to form a parallel government during Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency.

“We are not forming a parallel government,” he declared. “We are filling a vacuum left by a collapsing system. If the political parties have failed, citizens must act.”

He accused the current administration of fearing “the Nigerian people” and using constitutional smokescreens to silence voices calling for reform.

“They are scared. Not of political structures—they’ve bought those. They fear citizens waking up.”

Utomi’s bold stance has ignited a national debate, raising serious questions about democratic freedoms, civic engagement, and what happens when governments fear the governed.
