Fake PFIPC DG Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi has been arrested.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested the self-acclaimed Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, in Osun State.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedu, confirmed the arrest in a statement, revealing that Adeyemi was apprehended without incident by operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and has since been taken into police custody for further interrogation.

According to Iniedu, the suspect had been on the radar of security agencies following an intensive manhunt linked to investigations into the activities of the purported federal agency.
He explained that Adeyemi’s arrest followed intelligence-led operations conducted weeks after authorities launched investigations into allegations surrounding the controversial PFIPC.
The police spokesperson disclosed that security operatives had earlier raided the suspect’s family residence in a bid to track his whereabouts, with reports indicating that investigators questioned members of his family during the operation.
The arrest came shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a warrant for Adeyemi’s arrest after he failed to appear for his scheduled arraignment.
Adeyemi was expected to take his plea before the court on an eight-count charge, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, bordering on alleged forgery, fraud and impersonation.
Although the case was listed as number 12 on Tuesday’s court cause list and his counsel, Mr. Genesis Francis, announced an appearance on his behalf, the defendant was absent from court.
His failure to appear prompted the court to issue a bench warrant, paving the way for his eventual arrest by police operatives.
Adeyemi is expected to face arraignment over allegations of certificate forgery and other related offences once investigations are concluded.
