An influential member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, Zanna Bukar Ali, has tendered his resignation, stating that Bola Tinubu is not a credible candidate.

 

Newsonline reports that Zanna Bukar said his resignation from the campaign council for Tinubu/Shettima ticket is borne out of his believe that national interest should supersede personal interest.

 

In a letter dated, January 1, 2023, addressed to James Abiodun Faleke, the Secretary presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress, Zanna Bukar Ali said the party has failed to address issues and controversies surrounding Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A member of the Directorate of National Youth Mobilization under the leadership of Yahaya Bello – Kogi State governor – Zanni said he appreciates the opportunity and recognition extended to him by Tinubu and the national leadership of APC.

 

The letter read in part, “My resignation applies to all other PAC presidential support groups and other APC support groups that are campaigning for Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima ticket.

 

He said, “I believe that national interest supersedes my personal interest. And based on the inability of the party to present a credible candidate for Nigerians is another reason why I took my decision as a concerned Nigerian. On this note, I resolve to resign my appointment as a member of the committee. grateful for your understanding in this regard.”
