BREAKING: ADC Speaks On Choosing Presidential Candidate Among Atiku, Obi, Amaechi

Although the ADC has not endorsed any individual, political observers have linked prominent figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi to the party’s presidential ticket.

ADC has denied choosing Presidential Candidate among Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed speculations surrounding its 2027 presidential candidate, saying it is too early to make such a decision.

Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday, the party’s Interim National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, stated that the ADC is currently focused on strengthening its political structure rather than engaging in premature discussions about potential flag bearers.

“We don’t have any favourite aspirants or candidates. We are not having any conversation at the moment,” Abdullahi said. “Nobody has ever had any discussion about who will be the party’s flag bearer. We believe it is too early in the day. Our focus now is to build a political party that is strong enough to deliver on the mission we’ve set for ourselves.”

Although the ADC has not endorsed any individual, political observers have linked prominent figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi to the party’s presidential ticket.

However, none of the three have formally declared their intentions to contest under the ADC platform.
