Atiku Ideologically Right

A Former Senator at the 7th National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has joined the campaign team of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, describing him as ideologically right for Nigeria trouble time.

 

Newsonline had reported that Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President of Nigeria, under Obasanjo was elected as the presidential flag bearer of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, last week, against rival Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. Read more.

Senator Shehu Sani who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the 7th National Assembly, said the trying times of the country requires a leader who is ideologically right as Atiku to pilot the nation’s affairs.

 

Senator Sani, who lost the Kaduna governorship candidate of PDP, after securing two votes, made the statement at the PDP national secretariat, where he was with Atiku for the return ticket of the presidential flag bearer.

Senator Sani said, “Atiku Abubakar is ideologically on the right of the center.Hopefully,the nation will experience a clear cut liberal economic reforms engineered by his economic team.He knows what to do with our energy and power sector;It will be far from the prevailing suffocating economic zigzag.”

 

The former Senator of Kaduna Central said Nigeria will be better with Atiku presidency, citing his reform programmes as the Vice President of Nigeria from 1999-2007.
