Ekubo’s film debut was a minor role in Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen‘s Sinners in the House (2005); his first major role was in Ladies Men several years later.

He is the son of Jane Ekubo-Okwaraeke (mother) and Mazi Ekubo-Okwaraeke (father).
His dad was a petroleum marketer, and his mum was a fashion designer and an entrepreneur. He has 3 siblings.

In August 2021 Alex’s fiancée called off their engagement with Fancy Acholonu releasing a statement that their relationship has ended.

The American-born model took to her Instagram page on Thursday, August 26, 2021, where she revealed that she has ended her relationship and engagement with the movie star.
