APC Members Protest in Lagos

APC Members are currently protesting in Lagos and have demanded the removal of State Chairman Ojelabi.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos staged a protest on Monday at the State House of Assembly complex in Alausa, Ikeja, calling for the immediate removal of the party’s state chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.

The demonstrators, reportedly drawn from all 57 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across the state, carried placards with inscriptions such as “Ojelabi Must Go” and “We Demand New Leadership,” as they demanded a restructuring of the party’s state leadership.

They expressed frustration with the current leadership, insisting that a change was necessary to reposition the party ahead of forthcoming political events in the state.

Security was tight at the protest venue, with a significant number of police officers deployed to maintain order and prevent any breakdown of law and order.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Lagos State House of Assembly nor the APC state executive had issued an official statement in response to the protest.
