1. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in Ogun State has threatened to shut down all its outlets across the state over the ultimatum issued to marketers by the Department of State Security (DSS). Reacting to the DSS ultimatum, IPMAN said such policy has failed “in its sense of reasoning with genuine business operators who do not get product from government’s depot to sell same at government approved price.”
2. An illegal fuel depot has been destroyed by fire in the Adamawa State capital, Yola. The fire broke out late Wednesday evening at the depot, beside a famous road junction called Roundabout Maidoki, near the Yola International Airport entrance gate, Jimeta.

The Senate, on Wednesday, called on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to make an upward adjustment of the proposed N100,000 per week for individuals and N500,000 per week for Corporate bodies in response to public outcry. The Senate also directed its Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions to embark on aggressive oversight of CBN on its commitment to flexible adjustment of the withdrawal limit.
