Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described Nyesom Wike as the Jagaban and totem of PDP.
Newsonline reports that Atiku also stated that Wike is not someone who can bend or change colour, which makes him to hold the Rivers State governor in high esteem.
Atiku presidential campaign spokesperson Segun Sowunmi, showered the praise on Governor Wike on Arise Television.
Seun said Governor Wike has contributed to PDP development from the beginning of the party and is a man of revolution.
Atiku said though time and space may not bring him and Wike together he holds him in high esteem.
He said the ability of Wike to keep other governors in line by saying things as it is a big quality.
Describing Wike as a totem of the PDP, Seun said, “Wike is our own Jagaban; how do you explain a governor being able to keep other governors in line? One thing you can’t deny him is that he has the ability to say it as it is. He will not bend or colour things.
“Atiku holds Wike in high esteem, time and space may not bring them together, but he does. Wike is a man of revolution; he is one of the totems of PDP.”

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State turned his back to the PDP and Atiku following what he sees as bad treatment he received from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the presidential primary and in the picking of Atiku’s running mate.
Recall that Atiku Abubakar against the popular decision of the PDP governors picked Governor Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.
Governor Wike is reported to have within the week secretly gone to visit the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, who is in France for a medical check-up.
The move has put the PDP on their toes following Wike’s political prowess.
