Rotimi Amaechi has rejected ADC Presidential Primary Results over alleged massive voter disenfranchisement.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Minister of Transportation and ex-Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has rejected the outcome of the presidential primaries conducted by the African Democratic Congress, alleging widespread irregularities, voter disenfranchisement and electoral malpractice.
This Nigeria news platform understands that Amaechi made his position known in a statement shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, where he described the results announced from the exercise as “concocted results.”

According to him, he had earlier stated clearly that he would only accept the outcome of the primary election if the process was conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
“I will not accept results from a process that does not reflect the values that the ADC had pledged to uphold,” Amaechi stated.
The former presidential aspirant alleged that nearly 80 percent of party members nationwide were denied the opportunity to participate in the voting process.
“There’s no way that about eighty percent of members of the party were not allowed to vote, and you expect me to accept such results,” he said.
Amaechi further accused the party leadership of allegedly engaging in the same practices it had consistently criticised in the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to him, the ADC could not condemn vote buying, election rigging and result manipulation by other political actors while allegedly tolerating similar practices during its own internal electoral process.
He maintained that the conduct of the primary election contradicted the ideals and democratic principles upon which the party was founded.
The development adds fresh tension to the opposition political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections, as reactions continue to trail the outcome of recent party primaries across the country.
