Wike Expresses Happiness Over His Appointment, Asks Critics To Go Hug Transformer

Wike has expressed happiness over his appointment as FCT Minister and asked his critics to go hug transformer.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that he is happy working for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress government.

 

Wike, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and the only opposition member in Tinubu’s cabinet, made this remark on Saturday during the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The former Rivers State Governor asserted that he remains unapologetic about working for the Tinubu administration, despite the criticisms following his appointment.

According to the minister, he has no regrets about his decision and is satisfied with his position in the current administration.

 

He said, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government. I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.”

 

Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister sparked discussions, with many suggesting that his ministerial role was a reward for his contribution to Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election.
