Abuja Senator Kingibe has stated that Wike doesn’t know FCT and was not guided right.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory in the 10th National Assembly, Ireti Heebah Kingibe, has said that the minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, was not guided right on some of his early decisions.

The Senator addressed the press on Wednesday hours after her election was reaffirmed by the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

Mrs. Kingibe said she was ready to work with the former Rivers State Governor to ensure that residents of the FCT get the best of governance.

According to her, “On the issue of demolitions…you must remember, the Minister and I have different goals.

“I was elected by the people, therefore answerable to the people of the FCT, he’s not.

“But working together, I hope we can merge our interests, look at the whole picture of FCT then decide what and what needs …a lot of things need demolishing, no doubt… but the Minister is new in the FCT and maybe, he wasn’t guided right.”

NewsOnline Nigeria recalls that Wike had blamed members of the elite for distorting the masterplan of the nation’s capital.

He said, “so many things have gone wrong in the FCT”.
