NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, has approved the appointment of Ambassador (Dr) Maureen Tamuno as the new Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL).
This Nigeria news platform understands that the announcement was made in a statement released to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press to the FCT Minister.

Ambassador Tamuno brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Her diverse background as a public officer, entrepreneur, and diplomat positions her well to lead AICL effectively.
Her appointment takes immediate effect, signalling the commencement of her duties in steering the affairs of the investment company towards achieving its objectives.
In a related development, the Minister has terminated the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the International Conference Center, Abuja, with immediate effect.
To address the renovation needs of the International Conference Center, Abuja, the Minister has contracted Messrs Julius Berger Nig Plc for immediate comprehensive renovation works.
These decisions reflect the FCT administration commitment to ensuring effective management and revitalization of key infrastructural assets in the Federal Capital Territory, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of Abuja’s status as a hub for conferences and investments.
