NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday, ordered the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, to leave the upper legislative chamber.

In a video circulating online, Senator Natasha was seen engaging in a heated exchange with the Senate President during the plenary session.

The Kogi Central lawmaker repeatedly called out, saying, “Order, please,” in an attempt to raise a point of order.

However, Akpabio, seemingly ignoring her, addressed the Senate Chief Whip, Mohammed Tahir Monguno, saying, “Distinguished Chief Whip of the Senate, your point of order is sustained.”

Despite Natasha’s continued efforts to be heard, Akpabio did not acknowledge her and instead instructed the Sergeant-at-Arms to escort her out of the chamber.

“Can the Sergeant-at-Arms take her (Natasha) out of the Senate?” Akpabio said, visibly frustrated by her insistence.

Undeterred, Senator Natasha proceeded to read aloud from the Senate rule book, citing regulations governing proceedings in the Red Chamber. She refused to back down, continuing her protest in a loud voice while Akpabio maintained his silence and declined to respond.
