NewsOnline Nigeria had earlier reported that residents of Niger State have begun to express their frustrations over rising costs of living and inflation in Nigeria.
On Monday morning, some of them took to the streets with placards in protest.

With three days left until a planned nationwide protest scheduled for August 1, the action has come earlier than anticipated.
NewsOnline Nigeria learned that protesters marched from Suleja LGA in Niger and made their way to Abuja through the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
On their placards were inscriptions which read: ‘Hardship is unbearable’, ‘Enough is enough’, and ‘Fuel subsidies must be back’.
