The All Progressives Congress (APC) flag-off campaign in Jos, Plateau state, turned into drama and confusion, as the presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, forgot the name of his party and prayed for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Newsonline reports that the APC presidential candidate at the closing of his remark, which was prayer, he forgot the name of his party and said ‘God bless PDP’.

Tinubu’s statement has elicited reactions on social media on whether it could be attributed to age or health issue.

In the video, Tinubu said “God bless Nigeria… God bless PD… APC… God bless APC… APC.. APC.”

Recall that a similar mistake was made in 2015 when the then-presidential candidate of the APC, President Muhammadu Buhari, also forgot the full meaning of APC at a campaign rally.

Reacting to the video, Reno Omokri, a former aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan said, “Tinubu Prays For PDP Instead of APC In Another Sign of Mental Decline.”

Reno added, “Who Knows The Name of This Man Who Covered His Mouth When Bola Tinubu Prayed For PDP Instead of APC? I Have Some Money To Give Him!”

Another tweep, Nigerian spartan, wrote, “I would advise people supporting this man that he is not fit yo rule Nigeria! I mean in every aspect. Look at who the elites are imposing on you.”

For a digital journalist, Adenekan Mayowa, in a mockery “New party loading PDAPC.”
