President Tinubu has insisted on subsidy removal and praised Governor Mbah in Enugu State.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu has said his administration’s decision to remove fuel subsidies was a “necessary” move to secure Nigeria’s future.
The president made the statement during his visit to Enugu State on Saturday, where he inaugurated several projects completed by Governor Peter Mbah.
Tinubu’s administration had declared an end to the subsidy regime during his swearing-in ceremony in May 2023, leading to a significant increase in the cost of fuel.
