The Director of Public Engagements, Special (Media) Operations/Projects and New Media of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Kayode, and the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Jandor, have taken swipes at each other ahead of the 2023 election.
Newsonline reports that Femi Kayode, a former Aviation Minister described Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor, as a man with a strange name who is not fit for any elective post.
Azeez Olajide Adediran in reply described the former PDP chieftain, Kayode as an elder who has reduced himself to the level that even children cannot take him serious.
Femi Kayode in a series of tweets wrote, “If the strange young man with the equally strange name of “Jandor” honestly believes he has a hope in hell of defeating Babajide Sanwo-Olu in next year’s governorship election in Lagos state then he must be seriously ill and/or mentally challenged.”
The APC chieftain said the massive infrastructural developments of the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is seeking re-election have put him in steps ahead to win the Lagos governorship come 2023.
“The massive level of infrastructural development that Sanwo-Olu has put in place over the last four years is simply mind-blowing.
“He has proved to be a true and worthy son of Jagaban and has done far more than most people know, think or care to appreciate,” Kayode said.
Continuing, the former Aviation Minister under former president Olusegun Obasanjo added, “Those that cannot see it are simply blind and I advise them to go on a tour of the state. Lagos is now a big, pulsating, modern, thriving, prosperous, beautiful, orderly and functional city which can rival any major city in Europe or America and which beats any other in Africa.
“With a legacy like this, attempting to defeat Sanwo-Olu next year is an exercise in futility and a waste of time and money. Those that try it will surely lose their deposit.”
He boasted that Lagos cannot be taken away from the hands of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Femi Fani further added that Lagos is Tinubu’s country and advised PDP chieftains including Bode George, Jandor to stay clear.
“Besides which Lagos is Asiwaju’s base: one million Jandors, Bode George’s and PDP’s cannot take it,” he added “I advise them both, together with their hapless and luckless party, the PDP, to stop looking for miracles in the sky, to lick their sorry wounds and to retire from politics before they are thoroughly humiliated in the polls.
Kayode concluded, “The way I see it even Labour may give them a hard time in Lagos as well and may drive them to third place.”
In reaction to Kayode’s swipes against his governorship ambition, Azeez Olajide Adediran, Jandor, said scandals in Kayode’s personal and political lives, that range from his wives and employees have affected his worth in the country.
“In Yoruba land, we believe that elders earn the honour they are accorded because of the wisdom with which they have lived their lives and conducted their affairs. This is why it is nearly impossible for anyone to take Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode serious.
“Femi Fani-Kayode’s personal life has more than enough scandal to discredit him, but out of respect for many, who have been harmed by his actions especially women and his employees, we will stick to his political career,” he said.
Jandor added that “For every attack that Femi Fani-Kayode has launched against a politician, government official or political party, there is a corresponding statement where he contradicts himself with praises said to person, official or political party, the moment you are able to sprinkle little corn for the fowl, Femi Fani Kayode goes back on his words without remorse and betrays his closest associates.”
This is consistent across his entire political career and affirms what we all know, that he is a man who is motivated only by personal gain and will go anywhere, and say anything provided it gives him proximity to power and takes care of his stomach.”
The Lagos State PDP governorship candidate added that by next year 2023 when he becomes the governor of Lagos State, Femi Kayode would eat his vomit.
“It is only a matter of time, his attention would turn positively to Jandor the moment we take over the Lagos House, which we will certainly do by 29th May 2023…just wait and see.
“It’s only a year after he swore he would personally work to remove APC from office citing their incompetence and complicity in the 2020 EndSARS protests, he has gone back to his vomit.”
He added, “If anything, this attempt at character assassination, barely one week after our convoy was attacked by sponsored thugs and 48 hours after fake news was leaked to the press that 5,000 Jandor members decamped to the APC, proves what we already knew, the APC is frightened that its hold on Lagos has weakened and grasping at whatever straws to hold on to power.
“We will win at the polls next year and I am very sure Femi Fani Kayode will come begging for a spokesperson job as he can’t survive outside the corridors of government… and guess what, we will engage him.”
