2023 Election: Tinubu's Ambition Is Not Good For Nigeria- Prof Utomi

As more condemnations follow the decision of Tinubu and the ruling APC to field a Muslim-Muslin ticket for the 2023 general election, Charley Boy said it beats his imagination how APC settled for someone accused of sponsoring the Boko-Haram terrorist group.

Newsonline reports that Charley said it is a surprise that the accusation of kashim Shettima as a sponsor of Boko-Haram did not deter the ruling party from taking such action.

The popular celebrity and musician, Area fada, as he is known, in a question asked, “what does that mean?”

Charles Oputa, human rights activist and a strong critic of President Buhari’s administration, in pidgin English, said, “Nigerian Youths, Abegi make una help me understand dis. Someone accused of sponsoring Boko Haram na em dem take make VP for APC?

“What does dat even mean?”

The translation is “Nigerian youths, please you should help me understand this. Someone accused of sponsoring Boko-Haram is the one APC made VP.”

Recall that Charley boy, music writer, singer, human rights, and political rights activist had said Nigerians had had enough of bad governance imposed by the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Boko-Haram is an internationally proscribed terrorist organization, operating mostly in North-East of Nigeria, with affiliation with other terrorist organizations in Wes Africa.

Boko-Haram is reported to be responsible for so many bombardments of government infrastructure, UN interventions, many abduction of students, and recruitment of underage boys and girls into its terror activities.

Boko-Haram started its terror activities in 2009 and is reported to be responsible for internally displaced person crises in the Northern region of Nigeria.

In the build-up to the 2015 general election, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan alleged that Kashim Shettima, the then governor of Borno State, was responsible for activities that frustrated the efforts of security agencies in flushing out Boko-Haram.

A letter from the then Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike also directed Shettima not to allow Chibok school girls from writing the West African examination, following Shettima reported refusal, over 100 Chibok school girls were kidnapped.

One of the kidnapped school girls, Leah Sharibu, is yet to be released.

Charly Boy said Nigerians need a president that will take them away from the suffering imposed by years of bad leadership.
