Sheikh Gumi has called on God to expose all the sponsors of insecurity in Nigeria.

NewsOnlinwe Nigeria reports that popular Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi on Thursday invoked divine judgment on those fueling the insecurity and persistent bloodshed in Nigeria.

In a message shared on his Facebook page, Gumi prayed that God would expose and punish anyone; local or foreign who benefits from or encourages violence, while protecting innocent citizens from harm.

He wrote:
“My prayer today: Ya Allah! Whoever initiated or is behind this insecurity and bloodbath in Nigeria—whether foreign or citizen, whether gaining materially or otherwise, or even happy that people are being killed, or who deliberately refuses to stop it—may Your divine power expose them and may Your anger descend on them immediately, without harm to the innocent. Amin.”

His prayer comes amid a renewed surge in kidnapping incidents across the country.

Just last month, armed bandits stormed the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, in Eruku, Kwara State, abducting several worshippers. About 38 victims have since regained freedom.

Similarly, 10 residents of Biresawa and Tsundu communities in Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State were kidnapped last week, but were later rescued by troops of Operation MESA under the 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army.
