President Tinubu has vowed to sustain economic reforms and praised Fintiri’s Infrastructure Projects in Adamawa.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu on Monday reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining ongoing economic reforms, pledging greater inclusion and empowerment of Nigerians to drive prosperity.

Speaking during a one-day official visit to Yola, Adamawa State, the President said the reforms were steadily yielding results nationwide, particularly in education, healthcare and infrastructure. He commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for what he described as excellent service delivery and impactful projects.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu said collaboration between the Federal Government and state governments was producing positive macroeconomic outcomes.

“That is the consequence of us working together, and we will achieve more macroeconomic successes. We are investing heavily in agriculture and human capital development. We must be able to feed ourselves and feed the country,” the President said.

He noted that the repositioning of the economy through policy reforms had enabled increased allocations to states, empowering them to execute projects directly affecting citizens’ livelihoods.

Commending Governor Fintiri’s investments in road infrastructure and education, Tinubu said the construction of an eight-lane road, an underpass to ease mobility and stimulate commerce, and a modern High Court complex would enhance economic activity and strengthen the administration of justice in the state.

“You’re reflecting the true commitment of a government of the people, by the people and for the people. I have seen tremendous renewal and commitment in your investments in education, and I commend your vision for Adamawa State,” he added.

The President also urged state governments to prioritise poverty reduction and improve access to quality education, stressing that human capital development remains central to long-term national growth.

He thanked traditional and religious leaders in Adamawa for promoting peace and unity, acknowledging the challenges of navigating macroeconomic changes and political dynamics.

Tinubu further praised the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, describing him as courageous and committed to combating banditry and terrorism.

“With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists. You’re doing an excellent job, and we are seeing the results,” he said.

Governor Fintiri, in his remarks, thanked the President for visiting and commissioning several projects, including 21 model schools across local government areas, road expansions with overhead bridges and underpasses, a remodelled High Court Complex, and a new Government House office complex.

He assured the President of Adamawa State’s continued support for federal reforms.

The event was attended by several governors, including Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Caleb Muftwang of Plateau, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, alongside ministers and other senior government officials.
