President Tinubu has appointed Local Organising Committee for AFRIMA 2025 nd confirmed Lagos as Host City.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially thrown Nigeria’s weight behind the 2025 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), appointing a high-level Local Organising Committee (LOC) to coordinate the event set to take place in Lagos from November 25 to 30.

The President’s endorsement follows a formal request from the African Union Commission (AUC), reaffirming Nigeria’s long-standing commitment to celebrating African talent and culture on a global platform.

The LOC, inaugurated by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will work closely with the Lagos State Government, the African Union, and the AFRIMA International Committee to deliver what is expected to be the most outstanding edition yet, under the theme “Unstoppable Africa.”

“This is more than just an awards show,” she said. “It’s a platform to create jobs, tell our stories, and position Nigeria as the heartbeat of African creativity.”

The minister assured full collaboration with the Lagos State Government, AFRIMA team, and the AU to ensure a seamless, world-class experience.
