She tweeted:

#BREAKING UPDATE On April 1st 2024, President Tinubu @officialABAT

 spoke with me on coming back home to save Nigerian youth from drug abuse so we can get more education into schools, communities and workplaces. I have been appointed the Special Adviser to the President on Drug Abuse Education. Myself and Mr President will commission the Office of Drug Abuse Education which will work side by side with the NDLEA once I’m cleared by the Senate.

I will be dropping my state senate political ambition in Baltimore, Maryland

for now to return to Nigeria and make a difference. I was an award winning drug abuse expert in Baltimore, USA and was honored by President Clinton’s administration, late Gen Colin Powell’s volunteer awards, Maryland’s Most Beautiful People volunteer awards, Governor Glendenning, Baltimore County Executive Dutch Ruppersburger, Baltimore Mayor Kurt Schmoke, Congressman Ben Cardin, Senator Barbara Mikulski, NAACP President Congressman Kweisi Mfume, The US Justice Department, Immigration and Naturalization Services who gave me my Green card in the category of Alien of Exceptional ability.

Thank you to everyone that supported my 18 month volunteer drug abuse education campaign with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency

@ndlea_nigeria

 February 2022 to August 2023 while I was in Nigeria including all those who attended the Twitter Spaces and all schools and communities I visited in Lagos. Illicit drugs have no place in Nigerian schools, communities and workplaces.
