Nigerian Journalist Stoned To Death

Popular Nigerian Journalist has been stoned to death, Police confirmed.

 

 

Newsonline reports that the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA) Staff identified as Chukwu Odiahu has been killed in Okene, Kogi State by unknown individuals.

 

This online newspaper reports that the Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the death of a staff of the Nigeria Television Authority, (NTA) Chukwu Obiahu.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Obiahu was stoned to death on Tuesday evening shortly after he closed from work at NTA Okene booster station in Kogi State.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP William Aya, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday evening to DAILY POST, said the command has begun an investigation to unravel those behind the killing of the NTA engineer.

According to the Police spokesperson, “information got to the command that an unidentified corpse was discovered along Okene-Magongo road.

“When the Okene command visited the scene, it was discovered that the dead man was a staff of Nigeria Television Authority booster station in Okene. When the body was examined it was discovered that there were bloodstains in the body and bruises all over the body.”

 

The corpse of Obiahu has been deposited at a mortuary in Okengwe hospital, Okene Local Government of Kogi State.
