Police Colluded With MC Oluomo To Unleash Thugs On Igbo People – Atiku’s Aide Slams Tinubu

Shaibu also stated that the police, the Department of State Services, and other security agencies should go after those who launched attacks on innocent voters in Lagos, but the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State’s response that the election was peaceful indicated that the police had no plans to arrest anyone.

Atiku’s Aide has slammed Tinubu, claiming that Police colluded with MC Oluomo to unleash thugs on Igbo People in Lagos.

NewsOnline reports that Phrank Shaibu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s media aide, has slammed the Bola Tinubu campaign council for asking the National Broadcasting Commission to fine television and radio stations that continue to invite Peter Obi of the Labour Party for presidential election-related interviews.

In a statement, Shaibu praised the rights group Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) for petitioning the Federal High Court to prevent the NBC from suspending broadcast station licenses.

He added;

Tinubu’s campaign team has already given us a glimpse of what his administration will look like. It will be about the suppression of voters’ rights, unimaginable corruption, repression of freedom of speech, and a total compromise of government agencies.

For a man who rose to power over the claim that he led the struggle for the actualization of the June 12 mandate, this is another Nigerian tragedy.

Shaibu also stated that the police, the Department of State Services, and other security agencies should go after those who launched attacks on innocent voters in Lagos, but the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State’s response that the election was peaceful indicated that the police had no plans to arrest anyone.

He claimed that the failure of the police to arrest Musilu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo, Chairman of the Lagos Park and Garage Committee, after threatening Igbo people in a viral video was evidence of collusion.

Shaibu said;

MC Oluomo – a henchman of Tinubu – was seen on video threatening Igbo and making inciting comments. Rather than arrest him, the Force Public Relations Office, Muyiwa Adejobi, said he was only joking. Amnesty International rightly called on the police not to treat this threat with kid gloves but the police ignored this.

Viral videos show that on the day of the election, policemen looked the other way while innocent people were pummeled. Despite all the attacks in his home state where he voted, Tinubu has failed to comment. This is the sort of leadership he plans to give Nigerians.

Shaibu also chastised the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, for delaying the electoral offenses bill, which, if passed, could be used to prosecute electoral offenders.

He claimed Gbajabiamila was performing a script written by Tinubu.
